Dear families,

We have finished our Shadows and Reflections Unit.  This week we will be starting our Things that Grow Unit.  We will begin by talking about what "growing" means, why some things grow and others don't, and discussing and identifying the differences between a living thing and a non-living thing.  Here's what we will be reading.

Small Groups

Monday         Speech group, OT group
Tuesday        Sorting vegetables that grow above and under ground, planting
                                 flowers
Wednesday   Sorting what plants and people need to grow in a Venn Diagram,
                                identifying differences in flowers
Thursday      Making pretend vegetable soup, growing beans in our own
                                "greenhouses"
Friday          Daily living skills group, speech group

Even though the weather is getting warmer, our playground time is early in the morning, and it's still pretty cool out at that time, so please continue to send your child in with a coat.  Thank you.
