Dear Families,
We've finished up our last week of Family Traditions! Next week we are going to start our Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes. We will be talking about the holidays that we celebrate as well as fairy tale stories such as Billy Goats Gruff, The Gingerbread Man, Three Little Pigs, The Princess and the Pea, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and Jack and the Beanstalk. We may even have a visiting Elf come by our classroom to watch our friends doing the right thing at school! In January, the Barnyard Buddies will be designing the main bulletin board in the hallway by our office! It will be a fairy tale theme, so for the month of December we will be keeping most of our student work at school so that we can show it off on our board.
On Thursday, December 21st, we will be having a holiday party @ 10:45(AM class) and 1:45(PM class) in our classroom. We will put on a show for parents and/or siblings and do a craft activity together. Letters regarding the party will go home this Monday. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me! If your child will not be here for our holiday show because of vacations, etc. please let us know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly for our show. Thank you!

Dear Families,
We are in our third week of our Family Traditions Unit. Just a reminder that this upcoming week is a short week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. We will have school on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday is a half day, so only the morning session will attend. Thursday and Friday there is no school. If you haven't already, please return the conference form in your child's backpack if you would like to sign up for a conference on November 30th. On Wednesday the 23rd, I will send home a confirmation of your conference time.
This past week we sequenced by size, built a house out of shapes, matched rhyming word families, practiced our vertical line strokes, counted syllables, and made a Venn diagram to compare some of our storybooks. Here's what we will be reading this week.
Choice Time
Rug Dollhouses
Block Area Bristle blocks
Dramatic play Laundry
Red Table Spelling family words
Green Table Lucky Ducks game
Blue Table Size puzzles
Yellow Table Making kites and flying them in the wind
Sensory Table Cake "frosting"
Books
Small Groups
Monday 10 Little Turkeys Counting book
Tuesday Sorting book families and matching colored feathers
Wednesday Feathered turkey plates
Have a great holiday!!
