Dear Families,

We are entering Week 4 of remote learning.  This week we have two activities that pair directly with storybooks, so two of our remote learning sessions will include a live story time before we start our instruction.  Here's what our activities look like for the week.


Monday- Live storybook read, How Will We Get To The Beach

Dear Families,

Welcome to week 10 of remote learning.  I hope everyone continues to take advantage of the warm weather by spending lots of time outside!  We're in the home stretch of distance learning.  After this week, we will have two more weeks of remote learning in June, and the final week of school (the week of June 15th) will be fun activities shared through the BECC choice board.  I will be available that week to discuss any questions/concerns regarding summer, fall, or kindergarten transitions.  You will be able to reach me via email, or virtual check-in.

As a reminder, this Friday at 12:00 is our virtual hangout.  This week we will be doing Show and Tell!  Your child can bring something special to our virtual hangout (toy, game, favorite shirt/bow, etc.), and we can all take turns showing it to our friends and talking about the colors, shapes, and uses for our objects.

Hi Families,

We are in Week 6 of Remote Learning.  As I'm sure you've heard, school will remain closed for the remainder of this school year.  As heartbreaking as this decision was, it was in the best interest of your children, the staff, and our community.  We will continue to provide remote learning opportunities until school ends in June.  If you have any questions or concerns about this, please reach out to me. 

Mondays videos were posted today, since we were experiencing some device issues this week!  All of the subsequent videos will be bumped forward by one day, and Thursday's videos will be posted on Friday.  We are still talking about our 5 senses, and this week Sarah, who is one of the Barnyard Buddies assistants, will be reading a surprise book on Wednesday, so keep an eye out for it!  Here's what's on our agenda.

Hi Families,

This week, Burlington started "remote learning".  All activities are optional to complete.  Since we were about 3 weeks in to our Transportation Unit when left school, I thought it would be best to continue with the stories and small group activities we would've done if we were at school.  Here's what we have planned for the week. 

Monday- Reading How Many Beeps

Wednesday- Reading Dragon In A Wagon
                     Graphing vehicles by number of wheels

Friday- PRESCHOOL PARADE!  Come bring your kids and drive by the
             preschool at 10am on Friday and wave to your preschool teachers! 
             Please remember that everyone must stay INSIDE their cars.  Staff
             will be spaced out on the sidewalk to wave hello.

Hi Families,

Day 1 of our optional online learning is up and running on YouTube, just search for conroybpsk12.  Our story of the day is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and our academic activity is from our Handwriting Without Tears curriculum-“rainbow writing” with the letter F.  If you want your child to follow along with the activity, you’ll need a piece of paper with a dot on the top left corner and rainbow colored crayons.  Have fun, and if you have any feedback I’d be happy to hear it!

Dear Families,

I apologize for the January hiatus!  In the month of February, we’ve been talking about
Community Helpers.  We learned that our community is Burlington, and that community
helpers are people who live or work in Burlington to help us.  Some community helpers
we’ve talked about are teachers, librarians, firefighters, police officers, mail carriers,
doctors/nurses, veterinarians, dentists, chefs, and farmers.  We’ve also talked about
places in our community where we can visit, such as Town Hall, the Library, the park,
school, the police station, the fire station, stores, restaurants, and the supermarket. 
This week we are learning about the kinds of tools and transportation our community
helpers need to do their jobs. Here are the books we will be reading this week.
