Dear Families,

This upcoming week we will be starting our OWL curriculum.  Our first unit is Family.  In addition to our family discussions, we will also be talking about Autumn and Farms.  Since many of our families visit farms for apple and pumpkin picking this time of year, we tie it in to our current unit when we talk about our family's traditions.  Here are the books we will be reading this week.  This week we will be talking about what a family is and who is in our family.

It's our last school week in September.  We've been spending the past few weeks doing assessments like matching, sorting, and writing our name.  This week we will be practicing some pre-writing skills.  We also got our pet fish in our aquarium today, so our kids are very excited!  Next week we will begin our OWL curriculum, but for this week, here's what we will be reading.
