We are on our Community helpers unit.  For the next two weeks, we are learning about what a community is, what/who community helpers are, and how they help our community.  Here's what we will be reading.

Monday         ID body parts with band-aid book
Tuesday         Sorting street signs by shape
Wednesday   Making a doctor bag by identifying tools they need for
                       various ailments
Thursday      Matching uppercase to lowercase letters

Arts & Crafts
Monday        Coloring Corduroy and dressing him in clothing 
                        patches
Tuesday       Cutting/gluing red, white and blue paper and glitter 
                        to make police lights
Wednesday   Making a mouth puppet by gluing marshmallows as 
                        teeth
Thursday       Using rectangle papers and cloth to make a 
                       mailman's bag

Monday         Matching numbered firefighter hoses to number of 
                        water droplets
Tuesday        Tracing initial letters of community helpers
Wednesday    Pattern block truck
Thursday        Making a leprechaun rainbow with fruit loops

Monday         Making a police badge
Tuesday        Painting teeth with white paint and 
                       toothbrushes
Wednesday    Decorating our own stamps
Thursday       Making leprechaun hats
