Dear Families,

This was our last week of our All About Me unit.  On Monday we had our first "science experiment" of the school year, and we made play dough!  We felt the different ingredients on our trays, and the kids took turns helping me pour the ingredients into the bowl and mixed them up.  Vraj was very interested in watching the measuring cups as we poured them into the bowl, he kept reaching his hands in the bowl to touch the ingredients inside!  Ryan liked touching the dry ingredients, like the flour and salt, and he loved helping to mix the ingredients in the bowl with our spoon, but wasn't a huge fan of touching it once we mixed in the water!  

On Tuesday, Ryan was the only friend that came to school!  So, we visited some friends in the Jungle Jammers and Busy Bee classrooms.  They were so excited to see Ryan that the kids had to take turns playing with him, because everyone wanted to be around him!  Next time, we'll have to bring Vraj and Josh with us too and introduce them to our new friends in those classrooms.  

On Wednesday, we had our sensory pool!  We filled our pool with tinsel this week and had lots of fun touching the tinsel while we listened to some fun Disney songs!  All the kids had a blast, we even stayed in the pool for 5 extra minutes because everyone was so happy.

Of course, we also worked very hard this week during arts and crafts and work time.
