Dear Families,

We enjoyed the first week of our Farm unit!  We started some new books to go along with our unit.  Here they are!  We have a lot of predictable books this month, so we're looking forward to using our buttons some more to help predict the words in the story!  This week, though, we just got used to listening to the text, looking at the pictures, and exploring the objects that we are reading about in the story, like pumpkins, apples, big/small things, and different articles of clothing.

This week we had a special activity.  We had some construction workers come into our classroom to move our TouchIt board, so we spent Tuesday in the Busy Bee classroom!  We had so much fun with the other kids!

On Wednesday, we had our sensory pool!  This week, we put beans in our sensory pool.  We had fun feeling the beans and listening to them fall, but I think all the kids liked the tinsel much better.

We also enjoyed some very nice weather this week, so we got to spend a lot of time outside with our Spunky Monkey friends!  The Spunky Monkey friends LOVE our Barnyard Buddies!

Don't forget, we have Back to School night this Wednesday, October 15th, at 6:30 P.M.  We will also have a Scholastic Book Fair across the hall in the Big Room, which you are welcome to browse and purchase books after our Back to School Night.  I look forward to seeing all of you there!
